    Tapping

    What is EFT? 

    We have an energy “highway” that runs through our body and connects everything. When we have negative emotions they can create energetic blockages for us and contribute to stress and overwhelm. Along the energy highway, or “meridians” there are stopping points which the process of EFT uses to clear negative feelings. 

    EFT/Emotional Freedom Technique/Tapping is a process where we mentally “tune in” to what we are feeling and give the emotion a name like: “feeling stressed” or “feeling sad”, then by using our fingertips to tap on those stopping points as we say our feelings out loud we will allow the feeling to pass through our body so that our mind can be clear to guide us to decisions that are good and right for us. Used in conjunction with hypnotherapy, this is a very powerful tool to assist us in clearing traumas and issues we may be holding onto that are preventing us from progress and wholeness in our lives. 

    EFT is also effective as a stand alone tool to help us in our day to day living to manage stress and keep our mind clear so that we are not overtaken with strong feelings. It allows us to feel in the moment, when the feeling is a whisper, rather than waiting until it is screaming for attention. When we become skilled at feeling our feelings at the earliest stages, that’s when we begin to maintain our balance in our daily life.
